Interkultur Budapest International Choral Competition Performance
Our flight from Narita was delayed for 2 hours, so instead of spending 5 hours at Amsterdam, we spent the time at Narita. Arrived at the hotel just before midnight. It is much colder here than in Tokyo. Hopefully, everyone brought warm clothes!
ReplyDeleteNot everyone brought warm clothes as we found when we walked to the Parliament building from our hotel. A lot of interesting architecture and buildings on our adventure. Enjoyed an open market on the way. Had our acoustic rehearsal and found the room is not very kind and will expose any inaccuracies.......hopefully there won't be too many! Tonight's opening concert was wonderful though jet lag got the better of some of the boys.......hopefully a good nights rest tonight. More adventure tomorrow......fortunately it will be from a bus.
ReplyDeleteSightseeing was great until it started snowing after we were in the market building. Didn't make for a very scenic boat ride on the Danube. Going for dinner in just over an hour.
ReplyDeleteSnow and more snow. Lovely dinner and entertainment at a restaurant outside of town. Woke up to a forecast of yet 1-2 more inches of snow.
DeleteBusy day yesterday. First, the competition, then a bit of time to relax before going to the Restaurant Makk Hese. The evening Grand Prix and Awards Ceremony was extremely long indeed. After 2 hours of the top choirs performing two pieces, it was time for the awards. We were pleased with a gold Level 3 Diploma. The ceremony finished after 10:00, and we had to board the bus for the airport at 3:00......not much time for rest. We are now waiting to board our flight.
