St. Mary's International School is located in Tokyo, Japan. We are an all-boy's school with enrollment of nearly 1000 students in grades K-12 and are fortunate to have many opportunities for students to participate in the fine arts. The choirs of St. Mary's International School seek to nurture a love of music among its members with a mission to promote community service and global awareness. Students have the opportunity to rehearse and perform the world's great classical choral works as well as light, popular works.
The 50 voice Grade 5 Choir participates annually at the Kanto Plains Elementary Choral Festival.
The Middle School Choirs include the 86 voiced Middle School Choir and the 50 voiced Grade 6 Choir. Both choirs participate in the Choral Festval, held annually at Nishimachi International School,.
The 107 voice St. Mary's Men's Choir is a non-auditioned group of students from grades 9-12. In 2010, they participated in the Pacific Basin Music Festival where they received the highest ranking, along with the St. Mary's Varsity Ensemble. The Men's Choir has also participated in the Heritage Festivals, receiving Gold awards for their performances. Plans are underway for all of the choirs as well as the bands to once again participate in the Pacific Basin Music Festival in March of 2015.

The St. Mary's Bell Choir was one of the founding members of the Japan Handbell Assocation over 40 years ago. The senior bell choir has performances throughout the Tokyo area as well as overseas. They have participated in the Heritage Festivals, receiving numerous Gold Awards for their outstanding performances.
The Varsity Ensemble is St. Mary's auditioned vocal group that has participated in ACDA conventions as well as numerous choral festivals. In 2012, they were selected to perform at the 2012 Northwestern American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Convention, which will be held in Seattle, Washington. Other festivals have included the Budapest Festival and Competition where they received a Gold Award. This past spring, they traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, where they had performances at the opening of the EARCOS convention as well as at the International School of Bangkok and NIST. .
The International Show Choir is an auditioned mixed choir that performs classical as well as popular choreographed music. Students from Seisen International School and the International School of the Sacred Heart also participate in this 36 voiced ensemble. The show choir participated in Heritage Festivals this past spring where they received gold awards in both their classical set category as well as the show choir category.
